Introduction

This autobiographical manuscript, by Gan Sakakibara, of
Tokyo, Japan, was deposited into the Archives by Leonard
Gross, Goshen, Indiana, in 1997. Gross, in his role as
Executive Secretary, Archivist and Consulting Archivist of
the Historical Committee from 1970-97, worked with
Sakakibara on his Anabaptist writings and autobiography, as
one of the Historical Committee's projects in 1984. See
