Introduction
These papers were transferred to the
Archives by John E. Sharp, Goshen, Indiana, in 1998. Sharp grew
up near Belleville, in the Big Valley, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania,
and was given these papers by his family for safe keeping.
These documents reflect land ownership of this Amish farm, from
Long Christian Zook in the early 1800s to Joseph E. Sharp in
1929. Other materials include a dower book of Magdelena Zook,
1853-1900; guardianship papers; etc.

These guardianship papers pertain to the "Long" Christian
and Veronica (King) Zook family. Two documents from the Mifflin
County [Pennsylvania] Orphans' Court, November 19, 1821 and June
22, 1823. Both documents relate to Catherine Keonig [sic] of
Berks County, daughter of Solomon Keonig [sic]. Documents signed
by clerk Samuel Eisenbise.
