J. D. Mininger, 1879-1941 (Jacob D.)

Mennonite leader, mission worker, evangelist. Born in Sellersville, Pennsylvania. Superintendant of Mennonite Old People's Home, Marshallville, Ohio, 1904-09. Ordained to the ministry in 1911 at East Holbrook Mennonite Church, La Junta, Colorado. Supintendant of Mennonite Gospel Mission, Kansas City, Kansas, 1912-41. Counseled Conscientious Objectors in WWI.

Hettie (Kulp) Mininger, 1874-1965

Born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Attended Elkhart Institute, 1898-1900. Worked at Philadelphia Mission, Pennsylvania. Married J. D. Mininger on July 27, 1904. Matron at Mennonite Old People's Home, Marshallville, Ohio, 1904-09. Three children born, Ruth in 1906, Paul in 1908, and Edward in 1911, Edward. On farm in Colorado, 1909-12, and then mission worker at Mennonite Gospel Mission, Kansas City, Kansas, 1912-41. Moved to Goshen, Indiana, in 1941 and stayed there until her death in 1965. She attended North Goshen Mennonite Church.
